Cabbage Market Square

Cabbage markets are popular during the autumn harvest season, represented by the Hostivice open-air market on the outskirts of Prague. From September to October every year, local farmers sell fresh cabbage and pickled products, with wooden fermentation barrels, traditional cabbage presses and other tools on display, attracting many tourists. The market has food stalls serving Czech sauerkraut sausage stew and cabbage pancakes. Visitors can participate in the pickling experience and experience the local food culture and traditional skills. It is recommended to go there on weekend mornings, when there are a full range of vegetables and there are often folk performances, and the atmosphere is very lively. Buy a whole cabbage (about 20-30 crowns/kg) and slice it and pickle it on the spot. Take bus No. 307 from Prague Metro Line B Zličín Station to Hostivice Station, which takes about 35 minutes. There are horse-drawn carriage tours of cabbage fields in the surrounding area to enjoy the pastoral scenery and rural charm.Brno · 308m from downtown

Špilberk Castle (Spilberk Hrad) was built in the 13th century and long served as a royal residence, while also playing a crucial defensive role. In the 18th century, it was converted into a military fortress and prison, holding many prisoners from various countries who opposed the Austro-Hungarian Empire. During World War II, it was also used as a prison by the occupying Nazis. After visiting the prison museum, take a leisurely walk up the hill. After circling around, you will arrive at another museum on the upper level of the castle—the Brno City Museum. This museum has 3 main exhibition areas: art from the Renaissance to the present, a retrospective of Brno's history, and the evolution of Brno's architecture.Špilberk Castle overlooks the city from its high vantage point, surrounded by quiet, lush greenery. Strolling here while looking out over the streets of Brno offers a uniquely peaceful and relaxing experience.Brno · 560m from downtown

St. Paul's Cathedral is located in the Petrov district in the center of Cesky Korno. The church is very grand. It is a city landmark of Brno and a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The church is located on a hill, and you can overlook the whole scenery of Brno when you climb the church. Whether by train or car, the first thing you see when you arrive in Brno is this church. The interior of the church is in Baroque style, with bell towers on both sides. It was built in 1904-1905 in a neo-Gothic architectural style. Above the main entrance of the cathedral is also engraved with the text of the Gospel of Matthew in Latin.Brno · 451m from downtown

Located in Brno, Czech Republic, Villa Tugendhat is an excellent example of architecture with an international style in the architectural "modern movement" that emerged in Europe in the 1920s. Biesu, by the famous designer Mies van der Rohe, is the prototype of European modernist architecture. The villa uses modern industrial new products to meet the space innovation application and aesthetic concept innovation of the new lifestyle. Unique technological innovations were used in the construction of the villa, such as two windows set on the ground, the unique heating installation and ventilation system are all new in the creation. The materials used in the interior of the room are glass, polished stone, precious wood and chrome-plated steel, and the style is very avant-garde.Brno · 1.5 km from downtown

Bunker 10-Z (Czech: Kryt 10-Z / Muzeum 10-Z) is a Cold War-era nuclear fallout shelter dug deep into the sandstone rock beneath Špilberk Castle in the centre of Brno, Czech Republic. The "10-Z" was its top-secret code name during the Communist era. Today it has been converted into an atmospheric self-guided museum and one of Europe's most unusual themed hostels — where visitors can explore the labyrinth of tunnels, see period Cold War equipment, and even sleep on military bunks 10 metres underground.Brno · 211m from downtown

Spielberg Castle is a relatively small castle in the Czech Republic. It is mainly of a simple style. It is not as magnificent as other castles. The architectural style is very simple, but it also has its own characteristics. It is still worth visiting!

Brno's Freedom Square is a very beautiful square. There are not only beautiful sculptures and old buildings in this square, but also open-air markets on weekends. Many local citizens and tourists come here to stroll around and buy some goods they need. It is really a European square.

The bell tower is high and you feel like you are floating. There is a door on the top and you can stand on the balcony which is one meter square and have a panoramic view. It is so beautiful. Looking up and down, you feel nervous. It is worth climbing for 40 kronor and it is a different experience.

For those who like architecture, it is a must. To also get into the house, weeks , if not months before the visit it is recommended to buy a ticket, otherwise you can only look at the garden and a small exhibition.

The Town Hall is the most important building on Freedom Square. The tallest building in the old town is the Town Hall Tower. This tower has a Baroque-style green dome and is very recognizable. The Town Hall itself is not big.
