Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice de Cap Malheureux stands in the fishing village of Cap Malheureux on the northern tip of Mauritius. The small building with white walls and a red roof faces the azure Indian Ocean and is a highly popular spot for photos on postcards and travel brochures of Mauritius. Green lawns support the red roof, with the blue sea and a long coastline behind it. Standing next to the church, you can also look out over northern offshore islands like Coin de Mire. This Catholic church, built in the late 1930s, is small in scale. Its interior wooden structure is finely crafted, with pews painted in a red that echoes the roof, and a holy water font made from a giant seashell at the entrance that is quite ingenious.Cap Malheureux · 993m from downtown

Behnbouf - literally "cow bath". In the distant past, according to some people, the surrounding residents brought their cattle, and the cattle washed them here. Now, you won't find any livestock on the sand. The area of the beach is a few wooden benches overlooking the bay and is a popular lunch spot for local residents, taxi drivers and other tourists rushing past Behnbouf. Maybe we can complain about the sand and the bottom of the sea, but the views of the lagoon are still amazing, and the color of the water is turquoise as ever. The beach is a bit sandy to the east, with many small fishing boats nearby, from here it is also possible to walk or swim out to the Bain Boeuf Lagoon, where the bottom is mostly sandy and the water is shallow, these make way for a few great snorkeling spots - But be careful with the combination of strong currents and rocky shorelines. During peak season, you may find odd snack booths around the parking lot, but for most of the year, Bainbouf Beach is usually deserted, except for an odd number of tourists from one of the nearby hotels. For avid beach climbers, head over the rocky areas to the west at Behnbouf and continue west.Cap Malheureux · 774m from downtown

Many stall owners greet Chinese tourists with a blunt "Hello". Amoy Affordable In fact, the prices of souvenirs in each store are similar. The one that attracts girls is a L'Occitane store here. The price of L'Occitane in Mauritius is the same as that in France, and some hand creams are even cheaper than those in domestic airports. Very affordable postcards, plus international stamps are only about 4 yuan and 5. After writing, there is a post office nearby, which is very convenient. The stall owners here are very enthusiastic. When they see Chinese tourists, they will take the initiative to say hello in Chinese. If they are bargaining, they usually use a calculator. In addition, you can see the handicrafts of the dodo everywhere here, so you might as well buy some to keep as a souvenir. Leisure and entertainment The special feature here is the ship-like shape, and there is a mighty lion statue standing on the bow of the ship. There are cinemas, bookstores and various restaurants nearby. Anyway, you can spend a day here. There is an area with colorful umbrellas in the center of the photo spot square. The weather in Maoqiu is so good, the sky is always blue, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. This is the famous red-roofed church⛪️, but it was not open at the wrong time. But the guide said that this was the only port in Maoqiu.

We had such a lovely day at Île aux Cerfs! 🌴☀️ It was exactly what we needed — a day to slow down, relax and enjoy the beauty of Mauritius. The boat trip, crystal-clear water and beautiful beaches made the whole experience really special. We spent the day swimming, relaxing and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere without rushing anywhere. It was one of those days where you can completely switch off and enjoy the moment. Definitely a memorable part of our time in Mauritius, and I would happily do it again! ❤️
