Boulevard de la Corniche is a coastal scenic road in Casablanca bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Located in the western coastal area of the city, it stretches for several km. The boulevard consists of a wide roadway and a wooden boardwalk on the seaside, where you can overlook the blue Atlantic Ocean by leaning on the railing. The area below the boardwalk railing that extends toward the beach is lined with leisure facilities such as cafes, bars, and swimming pools. A locally famous "Miami" cafe is located at the turn at the southern end of the boulevard, and the boulevard is named after it. The cafe is built on a high embankment with water on both sides. Sitting in the outdoor seating area, you have a view of the open Atlantic Ocean. Evening is the main time to visit. As the sun sets, the coastal boardwalk is filled with residents and tourists taking a walk, and the cafe terraces gradually become lively. Along the boulevard, there are also cultural exhibits and photo spots related to the film "Casablanca".Casablanca · 10.6 km from downtown

Old City (Casablanca)

Old City (Casablanca) is the original core of the city, rebuilt by Sultan Sidi Mohammed ben Abdallah in the second half of the 18th century on the ruins of the old city. Unlike the old cities of Marrakech or Fes, this is not a tourist district, but a living, working market—the alleys are packed with hardware stores, meat stalls, shoe shops, and teahouses, handcarts rattle on the cobblestone streets, the call to prayer from the minaret cuts through the bustle of the market, and the salty sea breeze blows in from the direction of the port. The iconic entrance to the Old City is the Bab Marrakech gate, an arched sandstone gate that survived the great earthquake of 1755. Passing through the gate leads into the winding market alleys. Following the lanes toward the port, you will reach the Skala Fortress—this 18th-century coastal defense fortification still retains its old-style cannons facing the Atlantic Ocean, and climbing the walls offers a panoramic view of the stone walls, the sea, and the fishing port. At the junction of the old city and the French-style new city, the clock tower in United Nations Square marks the boundary between the two districts and is also a suitable starting point for a walking tour of the Old City.Casablanca · 7.7 km from downtown

Mohammed V Square is located in the city center of Casablanca and is an important administrative hub of the city. Public buildings such as the courthouse, the central post office, the central bank building, and the Wilaya administrative building are located around the square. Most of them were built in the 1920s and 1930s, blending traditional Moorish decoration with Art Deco style. Arcades, white exterior walls, and colorful mosaic tiles on the facades form the square's unique architectural view. A large fountain is located in the center of the square, and flocks of pigeons often gather around it, which is why it is also known as "Pigeon Square." The Wilaya building on the south side was designed by architect Marius Boyer. Its inner courtyard features greenery and a fountain, the colonnades are decorated with tiles, and the towering clock tower is also quite distinctive. The square is close to the old town. It is suitable for admiring the architecture and fountain during the day, and after the lights come on at night, it presents a different view.Casablanca · 7.2 km from downtown

Habbous is a district in Casablanca with a traditional character, designed and built by planners during the French Protectorate era, combining modern urban planning with traditional Moroccan architectural styles. The district features arcades, horseshoe arches, carved wooden doors, and colorful tiles. The streets are neat and orderly, retaining the characteristics of a traditional old town while presenting a well-organized spatial layout. Highlights of the district include the Mosque Square, the Moulay Youssef Mosque, the Mohammedi Mosque, and the Mahkama of the Pasha. Traditional markets are also an important part of this area; the olive market sells various olives and pickled foods, old bookstores showcase Arabic-language books and manuscripts, and both sides of Ibn Khaldoun Street are lined with shops selling leather slippers, robes, copperware, and pottery, where you can see a variety of traditional handicrafts. Strolling through the district, you can admire the details of the buildings and arcades along the street, or browse the markets to experience local daily life. 24 reviews
Church of Notre Dame of Lourdes is a modernist Catholic church in Casablanca, designed by architect Achille Dangleterre and engineer Gaston Zimmer, and built in 1954. The building is primarily a concrete structure, with a massive arched concrete canopy extending above the entrance, topped with a cross, and its clean, sharp lines make it stand out among the surrounding buildings. A striking feature inside the church is the stained glass windows created by French stained glass artist Gabriel Loire. Large expanses of glass extend along both side walls, and sunlight streams through the glass into the nave, casting rich, layered colors onto the walls and floor, creating a sharp contrast with the simple concrete structure outside. Outside the church, there is a grotto modeled after the grotto in Lourdes, France, adding a serene atmosphere to the overall environment. When visiting, take note of the interplay between the building's geometric lines, concrete structure, and stained glass to experience the church's unique modern architectural style.Casablanca · 6.3 km from downtown

Kasbah of the Udayas is a fortress complex in the capital of Morocco, situated on a promontory at the edge of the old city of Rabat, where the Bou Regreg River meets the Atlantic Ocean. In the mid-12th century, the Almohad dynasty built this fortress on the site of an existing military outpost, which was later expanded and used by the Alaouite dynasty. In the early 17th century, Moorish refugees expelled from Spain flocked here, using the fortress as a base to form a maritime armed force. As part of the historic district of Rabat, the fortress was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2012. The entrance to the fortress is the Bab Oudaia gate, built in the late 12th century, with its facade covered in geometric reliefs and Quranic inscriptions. Passing through the gate into the interior of the fortress, the walls on both sides of the streets are painted in blue and white. The Old Mosque is located next to the main street and was built in approx. 1150. In the southern part of the fortress lies an Andalusian Garden, designed in the style of Moorish gardens from the Al-Andalus period, shaded by orange and lemon trees. Adjacent to the garden is the National Jewelry Museum, housed in a palace built by Sultan Ismail of the Alaouite dynasty in the 17th century, which displays traditional jewelry, costumes, and handicrafts from across Morocco. The blue and white streets and alleys of the Kasbah of the Udayas also served as a filming location for the movie "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation".Rabat · 88.6 km from Casablanca

Marrakesh is located in southern Morocco and is known as the "Red City" due to the ochre-red earth used in most of its architecture. The heart of the city is the Medina, a World Heritage site densely packed with winding alleys and open-air markets. Souk Semmarine is one of the larger markets in the old city, offering everything from handmade carpets and leather goods to spices and copper lamps. Wandering through it is a cultural experience in itself. The center of the old city is Jemaa el-Fnaa. During the day, the square is filled with fruit juice stalls and handicraft booths, while at night it transforms into an open-air food street where snake charmers, storytellers, and traditional musicians take turns performing. Near the square stands the 12th-century Koutoubia. Its towering minaret is the city's landmark, and the gardens surrounding the mosque are also worth a visit. Bahia Palace showcases the craftsmanship of traditional Moroccan architecture, with its exquisite courtyards, carved wooden doors, and inlaid tiles. Outside the old city, the Majorelle Garden is famous for its unique "Majorelle Blue" architecture and exotic plants. It was created by French painter Jacques Majorelle and later restored and preserved by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. At sunset, find a rooftop café in the old city, order a pot of mint tea, and watch the sunset cast an even richer glow on the ochre-red walls—this is one of the quintessential Marrakesh experiences.Morocco · Marrakech

Casablanca's Miami Beach Boulevard is the most beautiful traffic avenue here. Driving along this avenue, you can enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery and the magnificent sunset. You can also take a walk or exercise here in the evening, which feels really warm and comfortable.

Everyone is familiar with Casablanca in Morocco. During World War II, spies from all over the world gathered here. There are movies about the scene at that time. I first learned about Casablanca from the movie, which prompted me to travel here.

This square can only be said to be a small square. If I really want to sit down, I still like to go to Cafe France in Place des Nations Unie to sit down and drink coffee. There are also performers singing around. You must come to Place V because you can check in in front of Casablanca. In addition, you can also play with pigeons. It was an accident to come to this church. We found it by accident while navigating. But we unexpectedly found that the church is really beautiful, especially the sunlight passing through the stained glass, reflecting the colorful light, holy and beautiful. Also, inside the church, the stories from the Bible made of stained glass are particularly eye-catching. Although it is a niche place, it is worth a visit.

Place does nations unies The square is crowded in the afternoon. It is a peaceful scene. There are also young people performing various shows. As they sing, the onlookers start dancing. It is a bit like the square dance aunties in front of the Chinese government square.

Since the movie "Mission Impossible 5" made it famous, the Udaya Castle has become a popular tourist destination. In the movie, Tom Cruise's car racing scene in the castle, where he drove directly from the steps of the castle into the sea, was filmed here.
