Our favela tour was an incredibly enriching experience, and we learned so much. Our guide, Alberto, did a fantastic job – with great respect and sensitivity, he gave us an authentic insight. We felt completely safe and well looked after at all times. We especially appreciated that he clearly explained when photography was permitted and when it wasn't. This made the tour respectful and enjoyable throughout. It didn't feel like a "zoo tour" at all, but rather like a genuine encounter with the daily lives of the people there. We had the opportunity to truly experience and understand life in the favela. A truly impactful experience that we can absolutely recommend – especially with Alberto as your guide!★
