Taking the Nankai Electric Railway is like Osaka's **"welcome gift" to travelers**. It doesn't pursue extreme speed (that's for the Shinkansen), but rather a "quality of arrival." Departing from the azure seaside, carrying anticipation, it gently weaves you into Osaka's vibrant and bustling city center. I'll definitely choose the Nankai Electric Railway again next time.

I wish there was a 3-day pass! We used it for 4 people plus 1 person at once. It is a bit inconvenient that the person making the reservation has to scan the QR codes for everyone, but the recognition is fast, which is nice. It is a shame that you can only book for up to 4 people per reservation. If you have 5 people, you can open separate Chrome windows for the 4-person and 1-person tickets. Refresh the window with the 1-person ticket first, then go to the window with the 4-person ticket and refresh. After the 4 people enter, return to the window with the 1-person ticket and scan it to enter immediately without any delay.

Really good value for money and very convenience to use. Be careful to choose only EXPRESS train where it could be a real different.

My trip to Osaka was from November 2nd to 6th, 2025. I bought the JR Kansai Mini Pass, which was quite convenient and cost-effective. I visited Kobe and Kyoto, both of which had new rapid transit lines. On the last day, I also took the Airport Express. Note that cars 5-8 on the Airport Express might be assigned to Wakayama, so be sure to take cars 1-4. I also took the Arashiyama Scenic Railway; make sure you buy the correct section ticket, as it offers round-trip tickets. I bought the wrong one.

Very convenient for using JR with reasonable price. Good service provider. I would recommend Japan JR to apply use QR code for entry instead of hard ticket to minimize customer feel sad when loosing hard ticket


