
▲ Fengjing Ancient Town is located in the northwest of Jinshan District, Shanghai. It is a national AAAA-rated tourist attraction and a famous historical and cultural town in China. The ancient town has a long history, with its settlement dating back to the first year of Tianjian in the Southern Dynasties of Liang, making it over 1,500 years old. Situated at the junction of five districts and counties between Shanghai and Zhejiang, it is known as the "Root of Wu and Corner of Yue." The town is crisscrossed by rivers and boasts numerous bridges, earning it the reputation of "two bridges every three steps, ten waterways in one glance." Most of its well-preserved buildings are in the Ming and Qing dynasty styles, featuring many attractions such as Fengxi Corridor, Wu-Yue Boundary River, and Fengjing Three Bridges. Additionally, local delicacies like Fengjing Dingti and Zhuangyuan Gao are highly distinctive.

▲ Held around September each year, for example, the 19th edition in 2025 will be themed "Tang Style." New couples will wear Tang Dynasty wedding attire and perform ancient rituals such as the fan-unveiling ceremony and the washing and communal drinking ritual. There will also be water and land parades, Tang-style markets, and other activities, where visitors can participate in Hanfu dress-up and makeup experiences. During Lunar New Year, there are activities such as admiring New Year lanterns, watching New Year plays, visiting New Year markets, and giving out New Year blessings. The ancient town is adorned with special lantern displays, and ancient-style singing and dancing performances are held at the ancient stage and other locations. Intangible cultural heritage skills are showcased at the Love Journey Plaza, and visitors can also participate in experiences like rubbings and lantern making. The God of Wealth will distribute red envelopes and lucky bags.
