A wonderful discovery of the monastery. I recommend visiting all the areas to see everything for yourself. Some rooms are off-limits for photography.
Reviews: From Sofia: Rila Monastery UNESCO Site & Outdoor Mineral Spa

It was good. However, the route is long, and in the end, there's too little time (less than 3 hours) for swimming. Ideally, the trip could start at 8 a.m., for example, and/or return later. That would allow for more time. Lunch break wasn't even factored in.
Reviews: From Sofia: Guided Day Tour of Plovdiv's Must-See Sights

As an international relations professional working in an international organization, I was thoroughly impressed by the expertise of our guide, Dr. Alexander Zaraliev. His vivid, appropriate, and meticulous commentary covered the local history, notable figures, and significant events spanning the evolution of the city, the nation, and Europe. This was a lecture worth three academic credits, delivered by the finest history professor. I also extend my gratitude to Dr. Alexander Zaraliev for his thoughtful arrangements, which afforded me the opportunity to engage in warm, professional, and peaceful conversations with fellow travelers from Poland, Canada, and beyond on topics ranging from languages and literature to cuisine etc. This rare journey was both enriching and heartwarming. A single day of exploration has even inspired me to revisit my European history textbooks. I wish Dr. Alexander Zaraliev every success in his future endeavors and will recommend this program to my friends.

Our tour guide was exactly the kind of mckinsey consultant you'd imagine—humorous, energetic, engaging, intelligent, and considerate. I was thoroughly impressed by the guide's expertise. We took in breathtaking scenery while learning about local history, notable figures, and significant events spanning city, nation, and society. The guide went out of their way to minimize inconveniences (like choosing the closet parking spots) and meticulously planned our schedule to ensure reliability. If possible, I'd gladly spend an entire evening chatting with this guide over drinks.
