▲ Seal Island is a small island located in Hout Bay, renowned for its large population of seals and seagulls. The Cape fur seal is a native species of southern Africa, breeding along the coastlines of South Africa and Namibia. They can reach speeds of up to 17 kilometers per hour. The island is just a few kilometers from Hout Bay Harbour, and visitors must take a cruise to observe the seals. Tourists are not allowed to disembark on the island but can view the seals from the boat while circling the island.
