I highly recommend our tour guide! Prince Gong's Mansion has so many stories; without a good guide, it would be a rushed experience. Guide Li has a profound understanding of Qing Dynasty history, ancient architecture, and especially the culture of "Fu" (ē¦, meaning good fortune), bringing the stories behind every detail to life. We'll definitely hire Guide Li again next time!ā

This was an amazing guided tour of the forbidden city, Tiananmen Square and the central axis. It was super busy but our guide Icy was super fast and efficient and knew how to get us through the queues and crowds. A very informative morning and Iām so glad I did it!ā

Highly recommended! The tour includes information about the wall, an entrance ticket, and roundtrip transportation from Dongzhimen Station. Please note! A guide will not accompany you to the wall (they are not necessary). You must purchase cable car/sled tickets separately, or you can buy them from the guide on the bus (they are the same price). There are two routes to choose from: the red route from the 14th to the 20th towers - the most beautiful views, an uphill climb, and a roundtrip indoor funicular ride (140 yuan); the green route from the 6th to the 1st towers - the views are also beautiful, but not as breathtaking, an open funicular ride, and a sled/funnel ride (140 yuan). You can also combine them! I personally chose to only take the red route on the closed funicular and walk from the 14th to the 19th tower (I didn't have enough strength to go any further), then the return route from the 19th to the 6th tower and a sled ride! It cost 200 yuan. The whole journey took me 3.5 hours. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the guide, Maxim; he explained everything in detail, gave advice, and answered the group's questions. Thank you for the trip and the great atmosphere!ā
