Reviews: Guided Edinburgh Private Walking Tour
Guest User2024-08-06
This was one of the best tours I have been on. Our tour guide, Alastair Sim, was phenomenal. He adapted to all of our needs--short time, a member of our party in a wheel chair, and our desires of what to see. When he learned we'd already taken a tour of the Castle, he asked what we wanted to see. We didn't know, so he prompted with questions like: Do you like Game of Thrones or Harry Potter. We responded that we liked Harry Potter. Alastair then completely changed what he had originally planned and took us on a good walking tour that included many wonderful sites in Edinburgh along with a few specific to Harry Potter, but not limited just to HP. He was kind and patient as we pushed a wheel chair up steep hills and over cobblestone roads. His knowledge of Scotland was phenomenal. If you can get Alastair on a tour, you will be in for a treat!

Reviews: Edinburgh: Royal Attractions with Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tours

We enjoyed all three tours. The commentary wasn't exactly the same on each one, so we always learned something new. 😊 Note that there's no translation service on the green bus. The included visits were really interesting. We highly recommend it!

G! What a teller he is! No ghost stories, only dark facts!! Things that really happened in all of the centuries in Edinburgh. It really keeps you listening and wandering for more. Just perfect!!

Brilliant experience with Kristie as our guide. She explained the process clearly and had all of us including our very excited 7year old son engaged all through . Great way to spend the afternoon. The chocolate was fab as well. Good value for money.

Reviews: Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands, Glencoe and Pitlochry Tour

Amazing tour with the Hairy Coo tour company. The guide was just amazing! Never have I ever met such knowledgeable person who can so utterly captivate with their storytelling abilities. I came to Scotland with very vague understanding of the Scottish history, especially considering the Jacobite history. After this tour I've finally gathered a lot of valuable information. Also this tour is considered the longest of day tours among others, so be prepared for it. However, you travel on a big comfortable bus and can easily observe the High Lands en route with a lot of stops for sightseeing in different locations. I absolutely recommend this tour and tour company.

Reviews: Loch Ness + Glen Coe + Scottish Highlands Day Tour in the UK|Comfortable minivan|Including cruise

We set off early in the morning. The itinerary was quite packed; most of the sights were shown on the bus, with the driver providing commentary throughout. The tour ended with a boat trip back.
