Reviews: Milan: Cathedral and Duomo's Terraces Entrance Ticket

Since I had come all the way there, I decided to go up to the rooftop terrace. As you'd expect from Milan's biggest tourist spot, there were a lot of tourists. There were many areas under construction, but the view was great. When I came down from the rooftop terrace, I was suddenly engulfed in the solemn atmosphere of the interior. I'm not a Christian, but the atmosphere of the mass was so pleasant that I spent nearly an hour listening to it.

The tour guide was both equally knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. Honestly the best tour guide I’ve had. You could tell Chiara loved Milano and her country!

Our tour guide, Catya, is an Art historian, and really knows her stuff! She was very knowledgeable about da Vinci’s The Last Supper, and shared all kinds of fascinating information with us! She took us around Milan, and shared with us the history, showed us some archeological ruins, explained the current architecture of Milan, took us to several churches to share the artwork in them, and then to the Duomo. We ran out of time and had to catch a train-we could have stayed even longer!

Emmanuela is a terrific guide. She is deeply knowledgeable but did not inundate us with facts.

The tour guide was great BUT be aware the time you choose for the tour will likely move. The castle doesn’t open until 10am so if you choose a tour time prior, it will move. I had chosen 8:45 (unaware of the opening time) and NONE of the emails they sent made it clear my time had changed to 9:45. I honestly didn’t even notice the difference since the tickets, app and all emails still said 8:45. I was up at 6am to make the 8:45 time and had to call to figure out why the guide wasn’t there. The tour and guide were excellent, but if the time had been move later it would have conflicted with another tour I had scheduled.
