This was a great way to start the day in Almaty, Dimitri are guide, was very knowledgeable about any questions we had, he told stories about history, the science, and even personal tales of Almaty lake. And of course it is super beautiful! Bring good hiking shoes. ★

I recently took the Big Almaty Lake tour, and it was an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Adam, made the trip both enjoyable and informative. He gave clear explanations about the lake, the surrounding mountains which made the visit feel educational as well as fun. Adam was friendly, attentive, and always ready to answer our questions. He made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and safe, and his positive energy kept the group motivated throughout the tour. Thanks to his guidance, we were able to fully enjoy the stunning views, take great photos, and learn a lot about the area. This tour departs at 5 a.m. There are many international visitors, and the guides are friendly and passionate, doing their best. Our guide was Karina, but the other guides also took care of everyone (she speaks excellent English). The distances to the tourist attractions are a bit tiring, but it's okay because you sleep in the car. However, the space between seats is narrow, so it's uncomfortable.
