Reviews: Shanghai Van Gogh Starry Night Museum + ERA2 Circus World - Time Travel Acrobatic Show [2 PM Show]

The show was rescheduled, and the trip.com staff worked incredibly well. Thank you for your support and the rescheduling. The ERA2 circus show was very colorful, but it's a shame the hour flew by, a bit short. Afterward, we went looking for the Van Gogh Museum. We had a hard time finding it and trying to get in—the employee didn't want to let us in, and we didn't have internet to show him our trip.com confirmation, as he requested. After 20 minutes of negotiating, he gave us the Wi-Fi password and saw the confirmation. The museum was interesting, and you can take lots of great photos in its locations.

I highly recommend this Shanghai cultural guided tour! Following the guide throughout the entire tour not only gave me a clear understanding of the historical context of the Soong Ching Ling Memorial Residence, Wukang Building, and Wukang Road, but also provided a level of professionalism and personalized service that far exceeded my expectations – a truly exceptional experience! The guide, Zhou Junju, was exceptionally professional, far from simply reading from a script. At the Soong Ching Ling Memorial Residence, from the preserved furnishings in the main building and the precious books in the library, to the camphor grove in the courtyard that Soong Ching Ling loved, every detail was vividly and thoroughly explained. She also added many little-known anecdotes, making this great woman's image more lifelike and three-dimensional, not just a cold historical symbol, but a warm and relatable protagonist. Arriving at the Wukang Building, I was truly amazed. The guide meticulously explained its origins as a design by László Hudec, its history as the former Normandy Apartments, and the stories of renowned artists like Zhao Dan and Sun Daolin who once lived there. Even architectural details like the building's three-section facade and vase-shaped railings were explained thoroughly and clearly. Only after listening did I understand why this "giant wheel-shaped" building has become a Shanghai landmark. During our stroll along Wukang Road, the guide also explored the former residences of famous figures like Huang Xing and Ba Jin, tailoring the explanations to our interests without omitting key historical details or becoming overly verbose. What impressed me most was the personalized service. The pace was exceptionally well-managed throughout. When we wanted to take photos, the guide slowed down and thoughtfully pointed out the steps. When we wanted to take more photos of buildings we were interested in, the guide patiently waited and even offered suggestions on the best angles. When someone asked about the architectural style of the old French Concession in Shanghai, the guide answered confidently, sharing relevant historical background with professionalism and patience. The entire trip was not rushed; instead, it offered an immersive cultural experience. Participants appreciated the beauty of the architecture and gained a deeper understanding of Shanghai's century-long history. The professional explanations of the guides transformed these attractions from isolated photo spots into a cohesive narrative of time, making it incredibly worthwhile! I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Shanghai's culture; choosing a guided tour is definitely worthwhile!

This afternoon, my child and I visited the Memorial Hall of the War of Resistance Against Japan in the Four-Hang Warehouse in Shanghai. Fortunately, Mr. Shengsheng was a lecturer. Mr. Shengsheng is very familiar with the historical background, heroic deeds and details of the War of Resistance Against Japan in the Four-Hang Warehouse. The explanation is detailed and infectious. She not only restores the magnificent scene of the "800 strong men" sticking to the four lines, but also combines historical pictures, cultural relics and multimedia materials to make that period of time vividly unfold in front of us. The child listened very attentively, from time to time to ask questions, Shengsheng teacher also patiently answered, so that the visit process is both educational and interactive. Teacher Shengsheng pays great attention to the visit experience, actively adjusts the rhythm of the explanation to adapt to the child's understanding ability, and also makes the child more invested by asking questions and encouraging observation of details.
