Xi'an Museum&Small Wild Goose Pagoda Optional(Chinese/English) Professional Interpretation Service
Itinerary Reference:
13:50 - 16:00 Xi'an Museum (including admission ticket and guided tour)
Meeting Point: Main Entrance of Xi'an Museum (arrive on your own)
The museum, themed around "Ancient Capital Xi'an," boasts a collection of over 130,000 cultural relics, spanning bronze ware, terracotta figurines, paintings and calligraphy, and more. It is particularly renowned for the vibrant colors and dynamic forms of Tang Dynasty tricolor glazed pottery figurines, as well as the solemn and compassionate Buddhist statues. Led by a professional guide, the tour provides in-depth interpretations of the stories behind the museum's treasures, connecting the historical threads of the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties. Through interactive Q&A sessions and engaging anecdotes, history is brought to life, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the thousand-year-old capital.
16:00 - 16:30 Xiaoyan Pagoda Heritage Park (walking tour)
Take a stroll to the adjacent Xiaoyan Pagoda Heritage Park to explore the Xiaoyan Pagoda, a masterpiece of Tang Dynasty close-eaved brick pagodas. Despite enduring over 1,300 years of weathering and multiple earthquakes, the pagoda still retains its original 15-story structure in miraculous fashion, with its apex's "cracked yet reunited" legend adding an air of mystery. Unlike the grandeur of the Great Wild Goose Pagoda, the Xiaoyan Pagoda is known for its tranquil and rustic charm, forming the "Morning Bell at the Wild Goose Pagoda," one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Chang'an, alongside the bell of Jianfu Temple. Gently strike the bell, and the lingering sound echoes, as if transporting you back to the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
16:30 - 17:00 Free Time & Disbandment
Take the opportunity to freely photograph the Xiaoyan Pagoda and its landscaped gardens, capturing the silhouette of the ancient pagoda under the play of light and shadow. Alternatively, experience the park's intangible cultural heritage interactions, such as making your own rubbing to imprint the unique textures of thousand-year-old stone inscriptions as a one-of-a-kind memento. The itinerary concludes here with the group disbanding on-site, marking the end of a half-day cultural journey filled with historical memories and cultural experiences.
