
▲ Longtou Mountain Scenic Area is located in Xiaonanhai Town, Nanzheng District, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province, at the main ridge of Micang Mountain on the border between Shaanxi and Sichuan. [1] The highest elevation is 2,336 meters (Longtou Mountain summit), while the lowest elevation is 949.8 meters (Xiaoba), with a relative height difference of over 1,300 meters.


▲ Longtou Mountain Scenic Area features a mid-mountain terrain with peaks as sharp as knife cuts and cliffs as sheer as axe splits, presenting a spectacular and rugged landscape. When shrouded in clouds and mist, the mountain peaks appear and disappear intermittently, resembling a soaring dragon, hence the name "Dragon Head Mountain".


▲ The Longtou Mountain terrain belongs to the mid-mountain range, part of the Micang Mountain system. It features a maximum elevation of 2,336 meters (at the summit of Longtou Mountain) and a minimum elevation of 949.8 meters (at Xiaoba), with a relative height difference of nearly 1,300 meters. The area is characterized by towering peaks, continuous ridges, deep valleys, and rugged terrain, with some sections featuring broad valley basins and highland plains. In certain areas, bedrock is exposed, primarily consisting of limestone, flint limestone, sandy limestone interbeds, silty limestone interbeds, and carbonaceous shale.

▲ The Longtou Cloud Walkway stretches approximately 3.5 km at an altitude of around 2,200 meters. Renowned for its majestic and precipitous scenery, it offers spectacular views of sea of clouds.


▲ Longtou Mountain International Tourism Resort is located in Xiaonanhai Town, Nanzheng District, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Belonging to the Micang Mountain range, it reaches a maximum elevation of 2,336 meters with undulating ridges and towering peaks that resemble a dragon's head from afar. The area boasts a forest coverage rate of 96.5% and is recognized as a national 4A-level tourist attraction and provincial forest park. The resort is renowned for its natural landscapes including sea of clouds at sunrise, colorful forests with peculiar rock formations, as well as rime and snow scenery, offering year-round tourism experiences: "admire azaleas in spring, escape summer heat, enjoy autumn foliage, and ski in winter."


▲ The attraction features Northwest China's first detachable cable car with an extreme elevation angle for mountain sightseeing, an outdoor sightseeing escalator spanning 180 meters, a 3.5 km suspended plank walkway, and a ski resort. Its main highlights include the glass walkway and the Oil Painting Forest scenic area.
