Very convenient journey, I would highly recommend. We took this ferry from Macau to Hong Kong on a weekday morning and it was not busy at all. There was space for luggage, but it might get tight if there are more people.

If you're traveling to Macau in the summer, I highly recommend going for a nighttime stroll. The night view is amazing, perfect for taking great videos. Also, watch the musical fountain at the Wynn Palace; it's breathtaking, and they'll often stop there to let you watch.

Pretty good deal for a HoHo bus. Our tix were valid for 24 hours and 2 of the lines ran until 9:30 PM. The other 2 ended at 5:30. Dialog on bus was only mandarin and no earbuds available to translate to other languages. Good if you want to discover the city.
