Reviews: Kuala Lumpur Suburbs Batu Caves Half-Day Tour - Morning or Afternoon Tour Option
Guest User2026-04-16
Batu Caves, located in the northern suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, is a Hindu temple built inside a limestone cave. A giant gilded statue of Hindu war god stands at the entrance. Reaching the temple requires climbing 272 colorful steps, and one must constantly be wary of numerous monkeys!

The Kuala Lumpur day trip was fantastic! The itinerary was well-planned and smooth, covering many classic landmarks and including a visit to the night market. The tour guide was attentive and helpful, communicating effortlessly in both Chinese and English. The pace was perfect, never rushed, and the overall experience was exactly as described. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and highly recommend it!

Reviews: Kuala Lumpur Half Day City Guided Tour - Morning or Afternoon Tour Option

A good value photo stop tour. I enjoyed it and would recommend to others. Please note you do not go in the attractions, it is a quick stop at each one for photos. We did stop at the chocolate store, but there was no pressure to buy and we got lots of free samples of Malaysian chocolate. The National Mosque isn't great for taking tourist photos from the outside, so I think maybe they should skip that location for the half day tour. The tour guide was friendly and informative. We were on a modern mini bus with good A/C. Water provided free to travellers. I would recommend this tour if you are on a short trip to Kula Lumpur.

Reviews: 1-day tour to Batu Caves, Putra Mosque, Putrajaya Lake, Merdeka Square and Petronas Twin Towers

Be prepared for this not to be a tour, but a taxi service that takes you to your destination. No tour or explanation. The driver picked us up and waited in the car. Yes, the sights are magnificent, but you need to learn their history for yourself. Be careful near the batu; macaques stole my phone and wallet from my pocket in front of us. They are arrogant, aggressive, and thieving. Overall, the batu is a dissonant attraction. Yes, it's beautiful on the outside, but inside it's a complete dump: filthy and stinking, despite the functioning Hindu temple. Entrance tickets are not included in the tour price, but they, with the exception of the TV tower, are inexpensive. The price for the TV tower observation deck was discouraging 😅 for Malaysians, it's around a thousand rubles, and for non-Malaysians, about four, even with a residence permit.
