Baiterek is the city symbol of Astana and a new national landmark standing on the steppe after Kazakhstan moved its capital. The tower's name means "tall poplar tree" in Kazakh, and it is also known locally as the Tree of Life: legend tells of a Tree of Life where Samruk, the mythical bird of happiness, would lay a golden egg between its branches every year. The designer turned this legend into architecture—the straight tower shaft represents the poplar tree, and white branch-like steel frames open up at the top to support a golden sphere with a diameter of 22m. The entire tower, including the golden egg, is approx. 105m tall. Its image is now printed on Kazakhstan banknotes. The highlight of visiting the tower is inside the golden egg: take the elevator directly to the sphere. The observation deck is 97m above the ground, a height that corresponds to the year the capital was moved, 1997. The deck has two levels and offers a 360-degree view of the entire city. You can take in the straight Nurzhol Boulevard of the new city, modern buildings with unique designs, and the flat steppe in the distance. There is also a gilded handprint on the deck where visitors can place their palms to make a wish. If you want to get the best photos, try visiting in the evening to see the layout of the new city on the steppe in daylight, then wait for the lights to come on to overlook the night view.Astana · 4.3 km from downtown

1. The Magic of Synesthesia in Details Comparing raindrops on metal branches to "silver ornaments in the hair of a grassland girl" imbues the cold architecture with a sense of ethnic warmth, while the luster of the "silver ornaments" echoes the crystalline raindrops, instantly bringing the image to life through the connection between sight and touch. Similarly, describing "golden balls as beeswax veiled in a thin layer" softens the coldness of the rainy day with the warmth of "beeswax," giving the rigid architecture a soft texture. 2. A Sense of Atmosphere Through Movement and Stillness The author doesn't just describe the "tower," but uses dynamic details such as "the sound of footsteps mingling with the rain," "the tower's swaying shadow in puddles," and "bent flower branches" to create an interaction between the static architecture and the rainy environment. Reading this, one can almost hear the rain and see the ripples, as if standing there in the moment. 3. A Soft Landing of Emotions From "flashy landmarks" to "elders murmuring in the rain," the architecture's character is perfectly combined with the mood of a rainy day, ultimately culminating in "the breath of the grassland permeating steel and iron bones." This transforms the "Tree of Life" from a mere symbol into a vital force connected to nature and the land, turning the "wetness" in the text into a tender empathy.

The mosque is very beautiful and tidy from the outside, with white walls and a golden dome, which is magnificent. The decoration of the hall inside is colorful, not luxurious but very solemn.

glorious building - comfortable sofas and seating. Displays arr interesting but I am sure the number will increase over tine from this young country. The art was very ibteresting and the sculptures everywhere give a flavour of old and new. The museum shoos have a good supply of Kazak clothes, jewellry and decorations - good forctourists who want to take home a few mementos without breaking the bank.

The moment you pass through this archway, you will enter Atameken Park, a park as big as two football fields. On both sides are various buildings, some cramped and some loose, and some scattered urban sculptures. It is a good place for a walk, but don't go there when the sun is shining directly, because it is too open and there is almost no place to hide. The Nur-Astana Mosque, which took three years to build, has become the largest mosque in Central Asia. If you walk east along the square, you can see its dazzling golden dome and four 77-meter-high minarets on the right.
