Darmstadt: Mathildenhöhe Card & Public Transport

The World Heritage Site "Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt" can be easily explored with the Mathildenhöhe Card.

The Mathildenhöhe Card includes the use of all public transportation in the city of Darmstadt (fare zone 4000) as well as entry to the Museum Künstlerkolonie Darmstadt and entry to the Hochzeitsturm Darmstadt.

It is available as a 1-day ticket at a price of €10.00 per person.*

*With the start of the next exhibition "A Step Ahead / Einen Schritt voraus | World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026" on June 6, 2026, the exhibition building will be open again and included in the Mathildenhöhe Card. During the period of this exhibition, the Mathildenhöhe Card is available for €15.00 per person.

Please note that visiting the Hochzeitsturm is only possible to a limited extent on certain days. Since the tower is an official branch of the registry office, weddings are held there regularly. Unfortunately, access for external guests is not possible during these weddings.
