It was a great experience. The package I bought on Ctrip was a great deal, cheaper than buying it directly at the counter, and it even included a serving of takoyaki at the 58th-floor restaurant.

If one person needs to pay for tickets for other family members, instead of purchasing them separately, select multiple people at once when purchasing. This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.★

This ticket is so much more convenient than before; you don't need to collect tickets or worry about losing them. However, if you buy them together, I wouldn't recommend splitting up (I guess you can't split tickets?). The one-day pass allows unlimited hop-on and hop-off, which is very convenient. I went to Arashiyama and Kiyomizu-dera Temple! 👍
