Everything was great, including the transfer, but we did spend $85 on the excursion, which wasn't mentioned in the tour. It's better to go with the all-inclusive option. The guide was English but excellent; we didn't understand, but it was still fun. Overall, everything was fine, minus the $85 we spent, the total: $48 + $85 = $133.★

First, be aware that tour companies don't contact you until the last minute. As a result, I had to cancel the tour I booked through Viator at the last minute and rebook through Trip.com. Regarding the items requiring payment on-site, the information listed on the website differed from what the tour company told me when I got there. Thanks to persistent negotiation and evidence, I was able to get the payment waived, but it's important to save the link and take screenshots. Other participants also had various issues, but the places we visited were amazing. It's important to consider these issues as a valuable part of traveling to Egypt and allow yourself time to enjoy the experience. If you can't afford it, I recommend a tour with a tour guide rather than a local tour. This tour involved meeting the guide at each ruin.★

The service was excellent. They created a WeChat group for communication after we booked. Our flight to Luxor was delayed, and although we were supposed to check in at 8 PM and receive our room number, we didn't check in until the early hours of the morning. The staff waited for us until we finally checked in and got our room number. Honestly, I don't think it's necessary to find an agent yourself just to save money. The communication costs are high, and it's not always reliable. When you're traveling, you've already spent a lot of money, so it's best to prioritize a reliable and enjoyable experience when choosing activities.★

We booked the 4‑day/3‑night Nile River cruise through Trip.com, and our local agent was Fayrouz Egypt Travel Company, with Ahmed as our tour operator. He was excellent—communication was smooth, responses were always prompt, and he checked in with us at the end of each day to make sure everything was going well. We truly appreciated that level of care.
The tour price included the river cruise as well as guided visits to all the “must‑see” cultural and historical sites in Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, and Luxor. We were especially delighted that the tour also included Abu Simbel Temples and a hot‑air balloon ride in Luxor.
All pick‑ups and drop‑offs were smooth and clearly communicated.
The local guides were very good—especially Ahmed Eltayeb in Luxor and Ahmed Awad in Aswan. Both were very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Our drivers, Mohamed (Luxor) and Said (Aswan), drove carefully and smoothly, and we felt very safe with them throughout the trip.
