I absolutely loved my trip to Chengdu! A special thank you to our guide, Shanshan, and driver, Mr. Ning, for their thoughtful and meticulous arrangements, making the entire trip relaxing and worry-free. From the Chengdu Panda Base to the Sanxingdui Museum, it was a journey through two "magical worlds" in one day: the morning was soothingly spent watching the adorable pandas, and the afternoon was filled with the awe-inspiring beauty of ancient Shu bronzes. Shanshan's explanations were vivid and engaging, bringing the daily lives of these national treasures and the secrets of bronze to life; Mr. Ning drove steadily, knew the routes well, and was incredibly punctual in picking us up and dropping us off. This journey felt like stepping from healing into mystery, from vibrant life into three thousand years of wisdom. Chengdu offers more than just delicious food and leisurely pace; it has so many stories worth taking the time to explore and listen to. I highly recommend it! ❤️

The tour guide is the key. I was fortunate to meet Rong Yiman tour guide in Chengdu. The explanation of the language is witty and humorous, and the professionalism is strong. The explanation of Du Gong's life is in-depth and shallow, so that the historical picture of thousands of years ago is slowly unfolded in our minds. I visited Sanxingdui on my birthday, which coincidentally is the same year the major discovery was made (1986)! It was an incredible experience. The museum perfectly showcases the mysterious Shu civilization, with its one-of-a-kind bronze figures and captivating gold masks. The artifacts are so different from other ancient Chinese cultures, making you wonder about their origins. A truly unforgettable and mind-blowing place.

The luckiest thing about this trip to Sanxingdui was meeting our guide, Shanshan! Not only was she a smooth driver, but her explanations were also captivating—the bronze sacred tree, the golden mask, and the mask with protruding eyes, which had been dormant for millennia, suddenly "came to life" through her narration. She always managed to connect the archaeological discoveries with the ancient Shu civilization through vivid stories, captivating even the children. What's even more remarkable is Shanshan's thoughtfulness and attentiveness: she reminded us of the weather in advance, helped us plan our route, proactively offered to take photos, and even prepared snacks for us. At the end of the day, it felt less like following a tour guide and more like having a familiar friend leading us on a journey through the mysterious ancient Shu civilization. Highly recommended! If you come to Sanxingdui, hiring Shanshan will definitely enhance your trip.


