I bought this Asia eSIM via Trip.com and had a really great experience.
1. What I loved:
* Super easy setup: you just scan a QR code — no need to manually enter settings like with many other providers
* Flexible plans: you can choose different data packages depending on your needs and easily top up if required
* I used it in multiple countries: South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and China. In China no vpn needed, and AI was working good
* In every country, it worked instantly right after landing — I turned it on and had connection immediately
* Overall, zero major issues during the whole trip
2. Support experience:
I use an iPhone, and sometimes the network wasn’t perfect in automatic mode. But customer support responded quickly and suggested switching to manual network selection — after that, everything worked smoothly.
3. Overall feeling:
Very reliable and user-friendly eSIM. I will definitely use it again and already recommend it to others.★

My best decision on this trip to Vietnam was to ditch my physical SIM card and switch to an eSIM! Before, traveling abroad always involved tinkering with a paperclip and worrying about losing my original Taiwanese SIM card. With eSIM, I feel like I can never go back!
Why eSIM? My three main reasons:
1. Skip the queues, instant internet upon landing: While the plane was still taxiing, I just tapped a button in the settings and the internet was up! Watching the long lines at the airport counters and then just walking away with my luggage felt amazing.
2. No need to change SIM, protect your original number: My Taiwanese SIM card stayed safely in my phone, no worries about losing it, and I could still receive important Taiwanese text messages.
3. Buy online and use immediately: I bought it on TripAdvisor the day before departure. I received a QR code in my email, scanned it, and it was installed—no waiting for logistics.
Practical experience: The signal was incredibly stable.
I visited attractions in Ho Chi Minh City and its suburbs, and the network was almost always at full strength.
City Navigation: Finding cafes in Ho Chi Minh City's alleyways is incredibly accurate with Google Maps.
Ride-Hailing Godlike Assistance: Grab rides run smoothly without any lag, and messaging drivers is instantaneous.
Uploading Beautiful Photos: Take tons of photos at the Pink Church and the coffee shop apartment, and post them non-stop without any issues!★

Good afternoon. I added a SIM card to my phone back in Russia, and by the time the plane landed, I already had service. I only borrowed it for two days so I could buy a SIM card for a month at a mobile phone store in Vietnam.
