We will pick you up at the Belgrade hotel to begin your delightful journey. First, we'll head to Kućica na Drini - Drina river house to admire the postcard-perfect scenery of Serbia. Renowned for its stunning natural beauty, you can enjoy activities, take photos, and savor a local specialty lunch nearby. The Kućica na Drini - Drina river house holds a deeply meaningful story—this is already the seventh generation of the house, each rebuilt by two young men, embodying the resilient spirit of the Serbian people.
Next, we will head to Drvengrad to visit the filming location of the movie "Life Is a Miracle," which won the Palme d'Or at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. Drvengrad is a famous attraction in Serbia, built by a Serbian director specifically for the film. This entirely wooden and stone town, surrounded by mountains and boasting beautiful scenery, feels like a secluded "utopia" far from the hustle and bustle of the city and the turmoil of war.
After visiting Drvengrad, we will take a small train to experience the artistic and retro fantasy and exhilaration. The Šargan 8 Railway was once the most perilous section of the narrow-gauge Belgrade-Sarajevo railway, now primarily used for sightseeing. Spanning 15.5 km, it earned its name because one segment of the track forms two consecutive loops, resembling the number "8" when viewed from above. The entire route crosses 10 bridges and passes through 22 tunnels. This very station was featured in the famous former Yugoslav film "Life Is a Miracle." As you ride the small train, you'll breathe in the fresh air while taking in the serene mountain scenery, feeling as if time has turned back, and enjoying complete tranquility.
At the end of the itinerary, we will take you back to your hotel in Belgrade, concluding the day's travel.(Please note that from November to April each year, the scenic train is out of service due to seasonal reasons, and this attraction will be canceled.)
