If you're traveling a lot or want to visit a lot of tourist attractions during your trip to Osaka, this is a great option. However, it only applies to the Osaka subway system. Additional fares apply for the loop line and some other lines. A tip: don't pay for multiple people at once; instead, pay individually via your mobile phone. Children are free. Children under six can sit with their companions. If you have a lot of luggage, we recommend sitting in the back row. Finding accommodation near a Rapit station is the most efficient option.

Maximum Value for USJ & Osaka Sightseeing! Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars (Excellent) Version Used: Deluxe Pass (USJ & Transport Combo) My Itinerary Highlights: Universal Studios Japan + Popcorn Bucket, Abeno Harukas 300, Umeda Sky Building, KIX Limousine Bus (arrival), and HARUKA Limited Express (departure). I highly recommend the Have Fun in Kansai Premium Pass, specifically the Deluxe version that includes Universal Studios Japan (USJ). For a trip that focuses on major Osaka attractions and requires convenient airport transfers, this pass is an absolute no-brainer for maximizing value.

This pass is absolutely amazing!!! Combined with the Amanohashidate entrance fee, the round trip to Amanohashidate alone is enough to break even!!! All other attractions are practically free!

If you purchased a round-trip ticket from Kansai Airport, you must exchange the e-ticket (QR) for the round-trip QR before going to another region. You can only exchange the QR at Kansai Airport. If you don't, there will be no place to exchange the QR when going to Kansai from another region.

My trip to Osaka was from November 2nd to 6th, 2025. I bought the JR Kansai Mini Pass, which was quite convenient and cost-effective. I visited Kobe and Kyoto, both of which had new rapid transit lines. On the last day, I also took the Airport Express. Note that cars 5-8 on the Airport Express might be assigned to Wakayama, so be sure to take cars 1-4. I also took the Arashiyama Scenic Railway; make sure you buy the correct section ticket, as it offers round-trip tickets. I bought the wrong one.

This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.


