Reviews: Christ the Redeemer & Sugarloaf: Rio City Tour with Lunch
Guest User2024-05-27
We really enjoyed the tour. We saw all of the places mentioned in the tour description. It was a little fast paced, but if you want to see the major sights of Rio in one day, this is a good tour for it. Monica was an excellent tour guide who explained in multiple languages - English, Spanish, and Italian.
Reviews: 1-day tour of Christ the Redeemer + Sugarloaf Mountain + Selarón Steps + Sambadrome in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The tour guide was super nice, and the lunch was delicious, a barbecue buffet. The itinerary was very reasonable. My group was basically a private tour, with only four of us! Of course, the weather was very bad, which was a good thing because it was low season. I couldn't see anything about the Christ the Redeemer statue, and the Theron Steps were also very boring. The church itself was only worth visiting, and the Christ the Redeemer statue was worthwhile.
Reviews: Rio de Janeiro: Half-Day Christ the Redeemer and City Tour

The tour covered the main sights of my interest, we were “let free” the correct amount of time per sight and the cost was logical. The only thing I would propose is to begin earlier because by the time you reach Corcovado, it is packed with tourists.
Reviews: Best Half Day in Rio: Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf
Guest User2025-12-25
This was truly the best half-day we spent in Rio. It’s a perfect tour for anyone who prefers to skip the soccer stadium and focus instead on the two main attractions: Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer. Our guide, Karla, was fantastic! She is fun and outgoing, speaks excellent English and Spanish, and clearly enjoys meeting people and chatting with them. Visiting these iconic sites with an agency is absolutely worth it. Karla seemed to know everyone and made sure we waited as little as possible in lines, and we never had to worry about figuring out transportation between locations. If you have limited time in Rio, this is by far the most convenient and time-saving way to see these sights. The agency was also extremely generous and flexible. On the day of our tour, my partner and I were the only ones signed up for the English-language group, yet a minibus still picked us up and Karla delivered a wonderful, personalized tour just for us.
