Canberra cultural day tour
Tours depart every Saturday & Sunday
07:00 Pick-up & drop-off at Holiday Inn Darling Harbour (68 Harbour St, Haymarket NSW 2000)
07:30 Pick-up at Hurstville Hua Ying Kitchen (184 Forest Rd, Hurstville NSW 2220)
At 10:00 AM, passing through Highway 31, we first arrived at the beautiful Lake George. What makes Lake George famous is its "elusive nature" – the lake periodically disappears, gradually transforming the area into a vast grassland. Then, unexpectedly one day, the shimmering blue waters reappear before people's eyes.
11:00 Capital Exhibition Centre, after a short break at the viewing platform, we drove to the Capital Exhibition Centre: here you can learn about Canberra's story as Australia's capital. The site features extensive interactive displays including text, images, films, and a laser show with a Canberra sand table model, accompanied by guides in seven languages including Chinese.
Lunch at 12:00 at your own expense
13:00 After lunch, begin visiting Canberra's famous attractions: Lake Burley Griffin, Royal Australian Mint, New Parliament House, and the Australian War Memorial.
17:00 Return to Sydney by car, and in the morning, return to the original pick-up & drop-off point to conclude the day's itinerary.
