Reviews: Arches and Canyonlands 4X4 Adventure from Moab

Abby was a fantastic tour guide taking us down Potash by the Petroglyphs entering the off road at the Jug Handle Arch through some of Dead Horse, Canyonlands along the White Rim and Shaffer Trail to far into the backcountry in Arches. She was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna as well as the history of the area pointing out various things that we would of never even thought about. Black Widow nest, with the nest full of eggs and the spiders ex left hanging (😥), Hydra shrimp in a small puddle. Pointed out the Marlboro Man commercial site as well as Thelma and Louise (I can understand why they thought they were at the Grand Canyon). The lunch and picnic spot were right on. The vehicle was very capable though it was well used didn’t bother us a bit, even added to the atmosphere of the tour. The afternoon weather was sunny 90 degrees we were glad we had the air conditioned Landrover. Don’t want to spoil it all for you but ask for Abby as your tour guide and you won’t be disappointed.

Reviews: From Moab: Arches National Park 4x4 Drive and Hiking Tour
Guest User2025-07-19
My review ultimately concerns Arches National Park and Canyonlands, as there were not enough people registered for the other. However, I absolutely do not regret this change, with his 4x4 our guide took us off the beaten track, to little-visited places with breathtaking landscapes. After each stop the guide asked us our preferences and with my traveling companions we were in sync and had an excellent day. Serious company that I can recommend.

This was an unforgettable experience—an absolute blast—and something I'll be arm-twisting all my friends into. There were long sections where I was laughing out loud. And let me add two things that became clear by the end of the trip. First, these rock crawlers are beautifully engineered, so driving this trail isn't actually demented, despite what your brain tells you at first. Second, most of the (seemingly) dodgy moments occur in the first five to ten minutes. So if you're trying this for the first time, as my son and I were, know that as long as you don't do anything obviously wrong or stupid, you'll be in good shape, and the trip will go from fun and somewhat alarming to pure, unadulterated joy. What a riot!
