Although this is my third time watching the Impression West Lake show here, and the previous two shows were similar, this time there's been a significant change. The storytelling was better than before, but the scale and dance performances maintained the same consistently high standard.

After a brief explanation, professionals guided participants to pick fresh leaves meeting the "one bud, one leaf" standard using the "hand-picking" technique. The moisture content and aromatic composition of the fresh leaves in the afternoon differed slightly from those in the morning, laying the groundwork for understanding the subsequent processing. The true essence lay in observing the frying process. Experienced tea masters demonstrated the key techniques of the "green pan" stage in front of an electric frying pan: "shaking" to disperse moisture, "folding" to straighten the leaves, "expanding" to flatten the leaves, and "pressing" to solidify the shape. The entire process involved precise temperature control and steady, accurate techniques, transforming fresh leaves into flat, upright shapes within twelve minutes, and shifting the aroma from grassy to the signature aroma of roasted beans. The dry tea is a classic "brown rice color," flat and smooth. The aroma is a complex blend with rich layers: a sharp, tender bean aroma dominates, with subtle hints of orchid fragrance and a touch of crisp "mountain terroir." The tea soup is fresh and sweet on the palate, with a rich, delicate texture and a distinct "contents" feel. The aftertaste is quick and long-lasting, with a deep, cool throat feel, and plump, whole leaves. It embodies the fusion of "refined craftsmanship" and "local character." Pre-Qingming Picked: As a superior asexual variety, it showcases the standardized aesthetics of modern breeding. The dry tea is emerald green in color, with uniform and elegant strips. The aroma is pure and high-pitched, a signature chestnut fragrance, direct and bright. The taste is characterized by its extremely high freshness and crispness. Compared to the "First Pick," its flavor richness, complex aroma layers, and lingering sweetness are somewhat lacking, reflecting the inherent "advantages and disadvantages" of this superior variety. Longjing Red: Breaking free from the framework of green tea, it demonstrates how processing reshapes flavor. With its dark, lustrous appearance and prominent golden tips, it offers a completely different sensory experience. This was my first short vacation in Hangzhou, and I casually booked a half-day tour package on Meituan. Guide Zhang was my host, and before we even met, he thoughtfully reminded me about public transportation. Once we met, he didn't waste any time on small talk; he went straight to the point and showed me the package. Guide Zhang was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the various attractions, patiently explaining everything while also allowing me time to take photos. Even though it was only half a day, Guide Zhang's dedication and professionalism in providing a thorough explanation were truly commendable. As a tourist from Shenzhen, this experience deepened my impression of Hangzhou. Thank you, Guide Zhang! I look forward to seeing you again. It was a very happy and fulfilling day! Every place we visited was beautiful and photogenic! The rowing boats at Xixi Wetland were tranquil and serene, offering a different experience from those on West Lake. Gaozhuang resembled a Suzhou garden, but with far fewer people, making for stunning photos. The lunch spot I recommended was delicious, beautifully situated, and reasonably priced. Our guide, Liu, led the way, took photos for us, and even drove us around in his luxury car – it was all very peaceful. The afternoon's tea-picking activity was my favorite part; the tea costumes were unique, and the photographer was incredibly skilled – the soothing greenery and the fragrant Longjing tea... I highly recommend it!

I have positive feedback to give... Since it was around Chinese New Year, I was a little worried it would be super crowded, but it wasn’t! A lot of the places we visited were surprisingly quiet, and not touristy. The tour started at a garden by West Lake - think it was called Guo Garden. Never really heard of it before but it was such a nice way to see the lake from this angle. The tea fields in the afternoon were also very beautiful. My guide Jason was very passionate and happy to share stories. If you’re looking for a relaxing day in nature, I recommend this tour.
