The day trip to Chefchaouen was absolutely wonderful and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. We had plenty of time to explore and truly enjoy the beauty of the city at a relaxed pace. Both the guide and the driver (Driss) were excellent, but I would especially like to highlight the driver. He was outstanding—very knowledgeable, sharing interesting insights about Morocco throughout the journey, and overall a very pleasant and friendly presence. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to visit Chefchaouen in a comfortable and enjoyable way.

Started in the medinas, peeked into the mosque (non-muslims are prohibited from entering), visited the madrasa, spectated traditional artisans at work (clothes dyeing and looming), then finally a tour of Morocco’s oldest leather tannery. Be advised that entry fee for the madrasa is not included in the price. The smell at the tannery was not as bad as advertised, but don’t worry, workers hand out whole branches of mint to visitors. Tannery tour was conducted by a guide from the tannery itself, rather than by our guide, Mohammad. As for Mohammad, he was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of his city. Highly recommend as an introduction to Morocco or Fes. If you’ve been to other cities In Morocco, content covered may be a bit repetitive.
