Reviews: Private Calcutta Tour
Guest User2025-07-01
Saha provided a great tour for our group of nine people! We got picked up straight from our hotel, and were driven around in very clean and comfortable cars. The tour was expansive and we got to see most of the main sights of the city, while learning about the interesting and extensive history of each spot. Saha was very knowledgeable and was very good at articulating the stories of Calcutta, and kept us engaged throughout. The pace was also good - not spending too much time anywhere while not being hurried either. Had a nice picnic, with time for lunch built in as well. Overall, it was an amazing time and I would recommend to anyone who wants to see and learn about the city.

Had wonderful day touring the sites and sounds of Kolkata. Wonderfully organised by the excellent Subrata we were taken form temples to Mother Teresa’s House ( so inspirational) to colonial sites and the colours of Kolkatas streets. Had excellent vegetarian meal and capped by coffee at Indian Coffee House. Brilliant day. Subrata was informative, clear and so calm- willing to flow with what we wanted to do and see

Excellent spiritual and temple tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable of the temples we visited, including the only synagogue in Kolkata. Highly recommend.
Reviews: Bengali Nights Kolkata Food Tour with 13+ Tastings
Guest User2025-10-24
This was far more than just a food tour — it was a true experience of Kolkata at night. The guide, Avik Mitra, is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his city. He shared fascinating stories about local life, culture, and history while leading me through the lively northern part of the city. We explored narrow old streets, took local transport, and visited small traditional eateries that have been serving amazing Bengali food for generations — some for more than a hundred years! Each stop felt authentic and full of character. The dishes were delicious, but what made the evening special was the insight and warmth Avik brought to every moment. It felt like walking the city with a local friend who knows every hidden gem. Highly recommended!
Reviews: Day trip from Kolkata to Bishnupur for Terracotta Temples and Silk
Guest User2025-12-30
The road to Bishnupur is very rough through Arambagh and traffic will be a challenge from central Kolkata, especially returningadter 5pm. Once you get near Bishnupur, the trip really improves. The drive through the Joypur Forest is beautiful and gets you in the right frame of mind to visit the temples. We had a small car which could navigate through the small streets and didn't take scooter tuktuks. Our *** guide, Sauvik, and driver were very knowledgeable as was our local temple guide. The temples themselves are beautiful and the artistry of the terracotta work is to behold. We visited the Ras Mancha, the Jor Bangla Temple, the Lalji Temple, and Radhashyam Temple. To see all of the temples requires an overnight stay. The key was to get a very knowledgeable local temple guide and we got an excellent guide who described in detail the intricacies of each temple including historical dates, construction features and details. The tour included all expenses for the local temple guide as well as a lunch meal and tea along the way there and back. The tour also included a stop at a local Baluchari sari production unit where you can see the craftsmen making the saris using handlooms. There is a sari shop there, as well, with an excellent selection of local saris.
