Reviews: Guided City Tour in Pondicherry with complimentary refreshments
Guest User2025-12-23
We spent two full days with our wonderful guide Mani, immersing ourselves in Puducherry and its fascinating culture. The first day we visited the city itself and its surroundings (including Auroville and a mangrove boat trip); the second day we visited with him the archeological sites of Mahabalipuram. Both days Mani offered us a perfectly curated tour, including everything essential, never missing a beat and giving every single tourist site its full due; e.g., at the Aurobindo Ashram we took ten minutes time for a meditation session in the flower garden; and in Auroville we walked to the Matrimandir to really soak in the magical atmosphere of the place. The two days we spent with Mani were some of our best days of our entire India trip. Thank you so much for this experience.
Reviews: One day private tour of Pondicherry from Chennai in car with a guide

Very nice experience. I enjoyed the white Town. Interesting french colonial vibe. The spirit if Aravindo Ashram was very calming. A bird's eye view of Matri mandir was nice bur for me ,to experience Auroville at its full potential one needs to spend more time! Lunch was interesting authentic local cuisine experience...go with an open mind. My guide Vietri was very knowledgeable and made my experience very pleasant.

I had a great experience learning about the history of Mahabalipuram. Luckily the weather is just okay though it's the rainy season. I had 1 hr travelling time to go and another 1 hr to get back to my hotel; and 3 hrs to look at the places as mentioned in the itinerary. We didnt go to the lighthouse, we just passed by it. On top of that, lunch was great too.
Reviews: Mahabalipuram walking tour by tourism ministry approved company

Our tour guide was very professional, he communicated very clearly and even we arrived late he accommodated. We saw all the monuments and temples and there is a bit of walking but we wanted to check all of them. He explained us very well about the religion and the history of the Mahabalipurum site and also knew that we are not very much familiar with the details so he helped us to learn more about the religious aspects of the monuments.
