Wine Tasting Sample Itinerary (subject to change)

Join a Bordeaux wine tasting class (conducted in English). Are you looking for a course to help you understand the complexity of Bordeaux wines and French wines? You've found it! In two hours, your wine guide will teach you how to taste wine, compare French wines, and blend your own wine! 10:30 AM: Meet at the A la Francaise apartment in central Bordeaux (3 rue d'enghien 33000 Bordeaux). Your wine class will begin with a welcome glass of white wine. You'll learn how to properly taste wine and never feel intimidated in a French restaurant again! Next is a journey through French wines. You'll taste 4 wines from France's 4 major wine regions and discover the diversity of French wines, along with the concepts of "terroir" and "appellation." Then, it's time for the wine blending workshop. Bordeaux wines are crafted by blending multiple grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, etc.). You'll taste individual grape varieties and then create your own blend based on your preferences! Thanks to our professional wine educator, you'll become a wine expert. No Bordeaux wine tasting is complete without pairing it with French cuisine. You'll enjoy a typical French apéritif to accompany the tasting (including fresh bread, charcuterie, cheese, dark chocolate, etc.) and, under the guidance of the wine educator, learn about your tasting profile. 12:30 PM: The Bordeaux wine tasting class concludes.
