Attractions and Activities: Angkor Thom (At your own expense) Angkor Thom was the latter capital of the Angkor Empire. The road takes us through the famous South Gate, lined with gods and demons locked in an eternal tug-of-war. The temple of Bayon at the centre of the site is lined with countless beatific carved faces, gazing eternally at the surrounding forest. 1 hr(s)
Attractions and Activities: Ta Prohm Temple (At your own expense) Ta Prohm is a picturesque and attractive ruin partially retaken by jungle. It is also known as 'the Tomb Raider temple', made famous by Angelina Jolie in the 2001 film. 1 hr(s)
Attractions and Activities: Banteay Srei Temple (At your own expense) Banteay Srei is a miniature temple in much better condition than most in Angkor. It received extensive restoration after it was 'rediscovered' in the early 20th century, including many elements being rebuilt with original materials. As such it provides an excellent insight into how many of the other Angkor temples might have looked when originally built (albeit smaller and without paint). 1 hr(s)
