Reviews: Watamu: Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling Boat Tour

Amari and Nature were incredible guides who who made the reef tour and snorkelling experiences unforgettable. They were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately only after paying for the activities were we notified by the tour organisers that during this time of the year chances of seeing dolphins were next to none. Quite disappointing given that the organisers were well aware of this but chose not disclose beforehand. Given the change in plan the overall tour was not good value for money. I reckon we could have paid much less if we had waited to pay in person and for the package that the company was realistically able to offer.

We went to Crab Shark by tuk-tuk in the afternoon. We took the boat and toured the mangroves on our own, paying 500 Kenyan shillings each. Afterwards, we went to a restaurant of our choice, paying 1,000 shillings, which included a drink and two samussas each. I recommend it for enjoying the mangroves in peace. The tour is also very pleasant and magical.

It was a great time exploring Mombasa old town with Antony. From the beginning at fort Jesus till the spice market Antony gave us the perfect introduction to the history and every day life of Mombasa we could have expected. Thank you Antony for a wonderful afternoon in a very interesting place. He was also very helpful in getting sun protection and transfer back to our hotel. Great experience and hospitality.
