Jennifer was an outstanding private tour guide for our visit to Shaxi Ancient Town. From the moment we met her, her warm demeanor and deep knowledge of the town grew our excitement for the journey ahead. Our tour was relaxing, allowing us to appreciate the region's tranquil lifestyle. Jennifer, a local Naxi, shared comprehensive insights into the local minority culture, Naxi life, their interactions with the Bi people, and the history of the Tea Horse Road, enriching our understanding of Shaxi's heritage.
Upon our return to Lijiang, Jennifer arranged a tea ceremony and visits to a local Naxi restaurant and supermarket, allowing us to enjoy local tea and foods, offering a rare glimpse into Naxi culture. Jennifer’s expertise, thoughtful planning, and personal touches made our tour incredibly memorable. We highly recommend her for exploring Shaxi and beyond. Great trip. Simple, picked us up from hotel, bus out to the TLG, with a couple of short and simple photo or generel interest stops, then into the gorge. An hour or so for us to explore. Bought our own tickets for the escalator back up. We used our wechat account to communicate with the tour people, made it very easy. We didn't opt for the lake option because it was near our hotel. Left hotel in the morning, back by around 2/3 pm.Thanks.
