Reviews: Spice Tour + Stone Town Tour + Prison Island
Guest User2024-09-25
I had such a wonderful day with Ismael on this tour. We started with the spice farm where I learned so much about Zanzibar’s spices and got to eat delicious pilau rice. Ismael was very knowledgeable and explained things very well. We then went on a tour of stone town and learned about the history of the East African slave trade and got to see the markets. Finally ended at prison island and got to spend time with the turtles and other animals on the island. I really appreciate Ismael’s explanations of everything, made my experience 10x better.

Reviews: Zanzibar Spice Tour

I visited this spice farm, and it was a truly incredible experience. The guide showed us all the spices, explaining which trees and plants they come from, cutting the roots, and letting us smell, touch, and observe each ingredient up close. It was very interesting and informative, because we often use spices every day without really knowing where they come from or what part of the plant they're made from. A really nice moment was when they gave us a sort of show: a boy climbed up a palm tree to pick coconuts, all the while singing a song, making the scene even more authentic and engaging. After the visit, we stayed there for lunch, and they even offered us lunch, all immersed in nature. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, authentic and well-organized, which I absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to discover something new and experience a moment in contact with nature. 🌿✨

Reviews: Jozani Forest, Kuza Cave, Paje Beach and The Rock Restaurant
Guest User2024-10-17
My husband and I really enjoyed this excursion! Our driver was amazing. The tour of Jozani Forest was incredible and our guide was really knowledgeable. You can tell the staff really enjoys their jobs. We don’t spend much time at Kuza Cave, but learning the history behind the cave was very interesting. The steps in the cave were really steep, almost scary. But once in the water it’s so refreshing. My husband was even able to play with the drummers at Kuza Cave. We only stayed at Paje Beach for about ten minutes, but would have loved to see move of it. There were a few interesting restaurants and many vendors selling locally made items. The water was nice and blue too, such a lovely sight. Our last stop was at the Rock Restaurant. There was the option to make reservations days before the excursion to eat at the restaurant or simply enjoy drinks and take in the amazing views. We opted to make a reservation and had two amazing dishes. The price for so much food was ridiculously inexpensive! I highly recommend this excursion, you will not be disappointed.

Reviews: Dolphin Tour; Kuza Cave Tour; Paje Beach; The Rock Restaurant; Jozani Forest

We 7 traveled in 2 taxis to our various adventures. Achmed and Abdula (spelling may be wrong) were friendly and personable. They took good care of us all day. What a wonderful way to see the island! The boat ride and snorkeling were great. A bit too crowded for us to trying swimming with dolphins but we viewed them. The Rock restaurant is great food with generous portions and a wonderful view from the back patio. The monkeys were accommodating for photos, and the cave was a cool experience. All in all a great day, thanks to our wonderful guides and the beauty of the island. Left at 8am and got back to hotel about 6pm
