Reviews: Dunedin Nature & City Tour – Full Day Cruise Excursion
Guest User2025-12-11
The route was well planned, with interesting stops. The only thing I didn't like was that the guide and driver were the same person. At times, it was difficult for him to both drive and tell the story, even though he tried. The bus was large, but we managed to see everything, but we didn't get much information.

Reviews: Guided Evening Penguin Viewing Otago Peninsula, Dunedin, New Zealand

Fantastic experience!! Guides were friendly, animated and very very knowledgeable about the local area, culture and wildlife. Not overcrowded when we went with plenty of space on the viewing deck for people to move around and get a good look at and photograph the penguins. Saw 40+ penguins come in over an hour and their antics are so cute and funny. Brilliant breeding and environmental management program while still allowing very close encounters with the birds. Highly recommended for everyone young and old. Short walk down and back up the steps to the viewing area from the clifftop.
Reviews: Olveston Historic Home Guided Tour
Guest User2026-01-09
We had done many things in Dunedin previously, but had not been to Olveston House and I am glad we finally got there. We booked online and chose our time for the tour because it's by guide only not self guided. However we were allowed to look through the gardens and greenhouse by ourselves beforehand. The history of the house and family who lived there was very interesting. If you like looking through historic old homes you will enjoy this.
Reviews: From Dunedin: City, Otago Peninsula & Albatross Guided Tour
Guest User2025-12-08
Asta, our fabulous guide, took a group of six of us on a beautiful day's adventure around Dunedin and out to the Otago peninsula. She was so knowledgeable and shared stories of life with her family here in Dunedin. She was always flexible according to our interests. We visited Baldwin Street, The Botanic Gardens (the aviary was a highlight), Signal Hill and the old cemetery. Such a scenic trip along the high road of the Otago peninsula with an off road detour around the inlets to view farmland and amazing water birds. We had an amazing tour of the Royal Albatross Centre, viewing nesting albatross parents, shag breeding colonies, baby gulls and even seals in the water. Asta drove us back via the low road to the historic Dunedin Railway Station. It was a memorable day. Thank you, Asta.
