A beautiful, well-preserved palace with excellent views of the Bosphorus. Easily accessible by public transport. It's highly recommended to buy tickets in advance to avoid queuing. Bring headphones to listen to the audio guide on your phone. The audio guide provided by the tour operator doesn't match the numbers on the palace signs.★

Despite it being very cold to walk around the deck, the views from inside were excellent, and I really enjoyed the trip. There was also a great bilingual guide (thank you, Camilla!), and they served hot tea with a variety of Turkish sweets. A very pleasant experience overall.★

The guide Anil was gentle & knowledgeable. Although as per this package he was with us for around only 30minutes, he told us a lot of history. He had the tickets in his phone that he scanned in the gates. He left after getting us in the Harem area. Initially we were early at the meeting point and he was still not there so we were worried but he arrived in few minutes. The meeting point is actually at the fountain just opposite to the ticket office.
