Reviews: Akureyri Port: Goðafoss and the Forest Lagoon Tour
Guest User2025-09-14
our guide Sieggy, was great! a native of Akureyri and gave us lots of local info. the Forest Lagoon was so relaxing and we had plenty of time to spend there. we also got the option of being taken back to the ship or let off in town to explore. we explored and walked back to the ship (about 10 mins). Beautiful area, really enjoyed it.

We had a great tour on a beautiful day with Hilmar. He provided us with good commentary that was both educational and amusing. The waterfall and surrounding area is gorgeous and way bigger than we expected, but we were given a good amount of time to explore. We loved the Forest Lagoon and could have stayed there for much longer.
Reviews: Akureyri: Goðafoss, Christmas House, and Forest Lagoon Tour

Outstanding tour company!! Highly recommended! The Traveling Viking delivered an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Everything was well-organized, smooth, and felt very personal. You can really tell they care about their guests and take pride in what they do. Our tour guide Ingimundur was exceptional - incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. His knowledge and warmth made the tour even more special. The itinerary was perfect and very worth it: Goðafoss was stunning, the Christmas House was charming, and Forest Lagoon was the perfect way to end the day. We were extremely satisfied with both the tour guide and the company. 100% would recommend The Traveling Viking to anyone visiting North Iceland. Worth every penny! Ingimundur is the best tour guide we have ever encountered ever! We have been to different countries and been with other travel companies and tour guide. He is the best of the best! 👍
