It was wonderful! Giorgio, the shop owner, was the most warm and inviting host:) his talents in mask making go well beyond just helping my husband and I create beautiful Venetian masks—he truly is a an incredible artist! His creations are stunning!
I can not recommend visiting his shop & painting Venetian mask enough! It takes the stress away and provides a beautifully meditative atmosphere!
Next time you find yourself on San Marco-stop by, say hi to Giorgio, paint a mask, and unwind! ★

It was absolutely stunning watching the artist work. It was really fun trying to do it yourself and the artist guide you calmly to really make the experience even more enjoyable. The artist has a lot of patience so you can feel relaxed and he really puts great effort in not making it feel that you are a novice. There are also many amazing works of art to admire and purchase afterwards.★

We had a lovely day, first walking through the market, then going to the operator's home and helping him cook fish, pasta and tiramisu. He was kind and engaging and patient and we had a wonderful day in his company. Highly recommended. I will certainly be using the techniques I learned today to cook when I get home. He even answered questions about other dishes from what was on the menu.★

I loved everything about this experience. I was lucky enough to be in a class on my own with Melissa. She gave me a great tour of the hot and cold shop and then explained the whole process really well, before providing all the help I needed to make my case. Actually making my own glass vase was an experience I’ll never forget and I’m so grateful for it.
