Mizue “Mindy” was an amazing guide for Niigata. She carefully put together a very diverse tour that included: a panoramic view of the city, historic villa with traditional gardens, shopping at an open marketplace and a wonderful sushi lunch. The exchange counter for the JR pass closed after 8pm at Haneda Airport Terminal 3. In the end, I managed to exchange at the Welcome Centre, near the Arrival Gate of Terminal 2, which is open untill 10pm.
