Very special experience. The cooking was better than high end restaurants and very authentic. Highly recommended for a more local experience with people that actually live here. It was very special.

This would my second time visiting the amazing Chichen Itza. But only this time I had the wonderful opportunity for Denny to be my tour guide! He is very knowledgeable about Mayan Culture and is not hesitant to answer any questions you may have. From the moment getting in our bus transportation he made us feel comfortable and safe. He informed us with important information and guidelines before even starting our tour, which was a plus for me being a tourist in Mexico. The bus ride was comfortable and AC worked great! All three experiences were amazing and the food was delicious! If I ever go back I would have to request Denny, and obviously reserve with Colibrí Yucatán Tours!! I would give 10 stars if there was an option!! Thank you for a wonderful experience. 🙏

A very relaxing trip with plenty of swimming time. The highlight is definitely the kayaking through the mangroves.
Reviews: Merida: Hacienda Sotuta de Peon w/ Cenote & Henequen Tour

This was a fascinating look at this hennequin plantation and the history of the sad fall out of favor of this amazing fiber after the development of nylon and plastic. The guide did a marvelous job of explaining in both Spanish and English the processes from growing, harvesting leaves, and then pressing them to remove pulp and liquid from the fiber, to preparing the fiber for it's various uses. We saw fiber being combed and then spun into twine, then that twisted together to form ropes of various thicknesses. We then got onto "trucks", or flatbed wagons, pulled easily on a rail system by mules that took us to visit a cenote. There were bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms, also a bar area and another area for relaxing. The cenote was cool and refreshing, with very clear water, and the formations in the cave were lit and very beautiful. We went back to the main buildings and were served a very nice 4 course lunch. I'd go again! Reserve the transportation- it's worth it!

We really enjoyed our excursion to Chichen Itza. Our guide was informative and the early start gave us the benefit of cooler temperatures and a smoother experience. Thank you to Alfredo and Efrain for a lovely and informative trip to an important historical site.
