It was so much fun to do the sledge/sledding! Sure rafting is also great but sledding is an even lore active version, where you actively steer (the sledge) by yourself. We had two great guides Andy and Caruzo who steer us safely and with tons of adrenaline (and own muscle work) thru the river. Great experience! So difference: get ON the boat - rafting Get IN the river - sledge!

A very well-organized tour! It begins with a 90-minute walking tour through the geothermal park to see all the pools and geysers. Afterwards, there's a lovely buffet dinner with a hangi (traditional Māori dish). Then comes a 45-minute Māori performance featuring various dances and music, including the haka – truly wonderful. Anyone who still has the energy can return to the geyser and round off the event with a hot chocolate.
