This half day tour is a great and convenient way to visit Hallstat. It is of course more expensive than taking the train or public bus+ferry to get to Hallstat, but it is certainly a time-saver. It's essentially a direct bus trip to Hallstat with a bit of commentary of interesting places that we passed and some history. Once you reached Hallstat, you will go around on your own for about 2.5 hours and the bus will come to pick up at a certain time. The 1.5 hours ride is comfortable and there's a power point at your seat if you need to charge your phone.★

Before I traveled, I was worried that there was not enough time, and the result was enough, because Hallstatt was not big. The English tour guide was very good, the scenery on the road was superb, and the tour guide had some explanations. It is much more convenient to take the bus in the past, no need to transfer, the place to get on the bus is next to the city palace, very easy to find. The last one is the pick-up point. Overall awesome, great experience
