This was by far one of the best tours we’ve ever taken, and we travel often and have experienced many tours. From the moment we were greeted by our wonderful guide, Nathalie, we knew we were in great hands. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of Lyon, its deep connection to French culinary traditions, and how the city earned its reputation as the gastronomic capital of France.
The tour offers a complete culinary experience, including an aperitif, a traditional Lyonnaise entrée, and thoughtfully planned stops throughout the city featuring renowned chocolatiers and confiseries. What truly sets this tour apart is that it is not just a food tour, but a rich historical journey as well, making it a comprehensive and immersive way to experience Lyon. The card gave us access to many different venues, our favorite being the Basilica of Notre Dame of Fourvière. The pass included all city transportation and funicular to the Basilica. The boat river cruise was also wonderful. Lots of museums visited and helpful staff at the tourism office. ★
