Reviews: Guided Edinburgh Private Walking Tour

This was one of the best tours I have been on. Our tour guide, Alastair Sim, was phenomenal. He adapted to all of our needs--short time, a member of our party in a wheel chair, and our desires of what to see. When he learned we'd already taken a tour of the Castle, he asked what we wanted to see. We didn't know, so he prompted with questions like: Do you like Game of Thrones or Harry Potter. We responded that we liked Harry Potter. Alastair then completely changed what he had originally planned and took us on a good walking tour that included many wonderful sites in Edinburgh along with a few specific to Harry Potter, but not limited just to HP. He was kind and patient as we pushed a wheel chair up steep hills and over cobblestone roads. His knowledge of Scotland was phenomenal. If you can get Alastair on a tour, you will be in for a treat!

Our guide Brian was very knowledgeable and took us to some great spots. He introduced us to some whiskey we definitely would not find in the US. It was a great afternoon.

Very insightful, Mike & Martin are very knowledgeable & made it a wholesome experience for us all on the ghost tour. The tour through the city & the underground of Edinburgh is very interesting. I can only apologise for unintentionally stealing a little of Martins thunder whilst having drinks in the cellar, hopefully he has forgiven me. As a whole a great experience & insight to Edinburgh’s ghostly past, followed by a nice drink in the cellar afterwards. I Highly recommend & will certainly do a tour again with you, thank you so much.

We had Jack and Linda as our guides and they were incredible. The history of Edinburgh is completely fascinating and I had no idea it was so gory! Although I'm a bit of a sceptic when it comes to ghosts and paranormal activity, I still felt spooked when down in the vaults. The ticket was a bit pricey but I'd say it's definitely worth the money.
