Reviews: A round-trip one-day tour to Shuangqiao Valley and Siguniang Mountain from Chengdu for sightseeing

The scenery was beautiful, and the tour group was very reliable. Our guide, Xiaolong, sent a long list of precautions via text message the day before, and the next day on the bus, he shared a lot of useful information about traveling in the Sichuan-Tibet Plateau, including symptoms and solutions for altitude sickness and motion sickness. He also reminded everyone to be mindful of time during the scenic spots, and we departed on time for the return trip, finally catching our high-speed train back to Chengdu without any problems. The driver of the bus (license plate 川V39253) was also very steady, driving along the winding mountain roads without causing any motion sickness. Plus, the bus was a luxurious three-seat vehicle, with much more spacious seats, allowing for a good night's sleep. 😊★

I felt this tour wasn't as worthwhile as the previous day's Panda Base + Sanxingdui tour. The tour guide only talked for less than an hour. Actually, if you do your research beforehand, you can see Dujiangyan without a guide. The service was still good, though, and the driver was very friendly. The drive from Chengdu to Dujiangyan takes about an hour. The weather wasn't great, so we didn't climb Guanshan Mountain opposite Dujiangyan. Guanxian Ancient Town isn't particularly interesting during the day, but it's much more beautiful at night with the lights on. The blue tears phenomenon is definitely worth taking photos of; it's very beautiful. The rushing and vast Minjiang River and the wisdom of the ancient people were both awe-inspiring.Trip.com Picks
