Reviews: Kyoto and Nara Day Tour │ Kiyomizu-dera Temple + Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine + Nara Park

A big thumbs up to Uncle Big Head on WeChat on February 24th! He provided clear information, location, and photos in advance, and was very enthusiastic and meticulous in replying to questions and offering helpful reminders. His driving was very smooth and safe, and the itinerary and arrangement of the three attractions were well-planned. His descriptions of the attractions and restaurants were concise. All three attractions are traditional and representative, rich in local culture and history. Uncle Big Head deserves high praise for his itinerary planning.
Reviews: [Cherry Blossom Season] One-Day Tour of Ancient Temples in Kyoto, Japan + Nara Park with Adorable Deer + Fushimi Inari Shrine
Guest User2026-04-22
Since we were traveling with a large family, we wanted to visit both Kyoto and Nara, so after some deliberation, we chose a one-day tour. The itinerary allowed us to efficiently tour Kiyomizu-dera (Sannenzaka, Ninenzaka), Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Nara Park all in one day, which was great for saving time. I think this course is excellent for first-time visitors or families because it allows you to comfortably look around just by taking the bus! The guide is fluent in three languages (Japanese, Chinese, and Korean), so there was absolutely no difficulty communicating in Korean, and they were so kind that it left a lasting impression. During transits and at each tourist spot, they meticulously explained the history of each location, recommended restaurants, things to do, and precautions, making it a trip where we understood and enjoyed the experience rather than just looking around. On the morning of the tour, I recommend arriving on time as instructed by the guide rather than going too early. The bus arrives around that time as well, so there is no need to arrive too early just in case. Although our group was large as my grandmother and young nieces and nephews were with us, everyone was satisfied because the transportation was convenient and the itinerary was well-planned. Since Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka in Kyoto were crowded, we ate snacks at restaurants instead of having a meal and enjoyed sightseeing a bit more, which allowed us to enjoy Kyoto without feeling rushed! The most memorable part of the course was the time we spent interacting with the deer at Nara Park. I was worried that we might not be able to do the feeding experience since we went in the afternoon, but luckily, there was someone selling food at just the right time, so we were able to feed the deer even though we arrived in the afternoon. Feeding the deer roaming freely was a special memory for both the children and the adults~ The photos turned out especially well near the lake! Overall, this tour was well-balanced in terms of transportation, explanations, and itinerary, so I recommend it to families or those visiting Kyoto/Nara for the first time 👍

I felt this was a truly heartwarming trip to Kyoto! From the magnificent golden splendor of Kinkaku-ji to the thousand torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine, every stop was breathtaking and thought-provoking. The tour guide was knowledgeable, articulate, and incredibly attentive, patiently answering all our questions.
Reviews: Hanakoushi cotton Scarf Class
Guest User2024-10-08
Boy, was this a lot of fun!! I had been looking forward to this class since I first registered for it. My husband and I each made a Sekka Shibori scarf…now I have two scarves. 😉. Everyone was so kind and helpful. And there was even a nice “unveiling” ceremony of our product at the end of the class. As the staff was packaging up our scarves, we were invited to go upstairs to the museum/shop and watch a short film about the history of Shibori. As with all crafts, it’s a dying art, unfortunately. We also had a private tour of the museum by the owner, who is a fabulous artist in his own right. I would highly recommend taking this class and meeting all the lovely artists/staff who take great pride in their work.
Reviews: [Osaka/Kyoto Departure] Kyoto Day Tour | Arashiyama + Kifune Shrine + Sanzen-in (Optional Sagano Romantic Train | Seasonal Sakura Viewing)
Guest User2024-05-27
We departed from Osaka at 8:30 AM, right on time. The driver's license plate number and contact information were posted in advance on their WeChat official account, along with detailed pictures of the meeting point, making it easy to find using navigation. The entire itinerary was very well-planned; we fed the deer, visited Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and smoothly took photos at Fushimi Inari Shrine. There were many beautiful women in kimonos along the way, and we even took some photos with them!
Reviews: In-depth 1-day tour of Kyoto's Arashiyama, with boarding and alighting available in Kyoto and Osaka, during cherry blossom season
Guest User2025-07-03
This Arashiyama + Sanzenin itinerary was fantastic! Traveling with kids, the temperature reached nearly 37 degrees Celsius that day, but it was at least 3-4 degrees cooler inside Sanzenin. Sanzenin was lush and green, and many people were taking photos there. Arashiyama was much more crowded than Sanzenin, so I recommend having lunch there; many restaurants only accept cash, so remember to bring cash! For those traveling with young children, it's best to book Arashiyama Scenic Railway tickets in advance. Ask the travel agency's customer service about the most convenient time to book. The round trip by train takes one hour. We even saw people rafting from the train, but we didn't have time. Maybe next time! A special mention goes to our tour guide, Liu Ling; she was incredibly helpful on the train, providing explanations and even taking us to the station before the train departed. On the return trip, she gave the children Arashiyama refrigerator magnets.
