▲ Taisho Pond is a volcanic lake formed by the eruption of Mount Yake. The "dead standing trees" in the lake create a magical scene that changes with the season and time of day.

▲ Kappa Bridge is a symbolic spot in Kamikochi, located just a five-minute walk from the bus center. From the bridge, you can overlook the Hotaka Mountain Range, Mount Yakedake, and the waters of the Azusa River. During the May and summer holidays, and during the autumn foliage season, the bridge attracts many tourists from both Japan and abroad.

▲ Kamikochi is a popular summer resort located in the upper reaches of the Azusa River in the southern Hida Mountains in western Nagano Prefecture, Japan. It rises approximately 1,500 meters above sea level. The entire area belongs to Matsumoto City and is part of the Chubu Sangaku National Park, a designated National Cultural Property (Special Place of Scenic Beauty and Special Natural Monument). It boasts hot springs and serves as a base for climbing Mount Hotaka and Mount Yari. Kamikochi's name comes from the hiragana for "Kamikanai," meaning "Kamikanai." "Kamikanai" refers to the descent of the Hotaka Shrine deity, Hotakaminomikoto, to Mount Hotaka and the enshrinement at the shrine's Okunomiya and Myojin Pond.
